Apna Verified

One badge should make one clear claim

Verification is evidence, not a blanket promise. Each badge tells you exactly what was checked so a verified identity is never mistaken for a verified vehicle.

The four badges

  • Seller verified

The seller completed the identity verification recorded for their account. It says nothing by itself about the vehicle or its documents.

  • Documents checked

Staff recorded a document check for this listing. Buyers must still inspect the originals and confirm ownership before a transaction.

  • Verified dealer

The dealership and its submitted business evidence passed the platform review. Individual vehicles still need their own checks.

  • Inspected

An Apna Wheels inspector completed a versioned checklist and report for the vehicle. Read the report—the badge is not a warranty.

How an inspection score is produced

  • Each checked point is scored: Good = 1, Average = 0.6, Needs attention = 0.
  • Points are weighted within their category; categories then count equally, so a long list of small checks cannot outweigh the brakes.
  • Points the inspector could not check are left out of the calculation entirely rather than counted as faults.
  • An overall score is only published when at least 60% of the checklist was checked. Below that the findings are shown without a headline number.

Every published report includes its scoring version and per-category results so a number can be traced back to the recorded findings.

What you should still do

Meet in a safe place, compare the seller’s identity with original documents, inspect the chassis and engine numbers, verify transfer requirements with the relevant authority and do not send money only because a badge appears on a listing.
